I went to a demo on the use of the Cuttlebug and thought it would be something I would use for my brass stencils as well as the fiscars stencils. It wasnt until a few days later my friend showed me her Spellbinder and there was just no comparison. The Cuttlebug is so much smoother and easier to work with it was like a dream.I am so glad I got the Cuttlebug.My friend now has a Cuttlebug as well and an ad on Craigslist for a slightly used Spellbinder.If in doubt go on YouTube under Cuttlebug for demonstrations of the many things you can do. It would be worth it.

This is a great little die cutter. I bought mine at Wal-mart for 19.95 for myself. I am new to scrapbooking, and did not want to spend a whole lot so this was perfect. I also did a lot of searching on the web, and found someone who used the other dies from the regular Cuttlebug and Sidekick cutter on the Cuttlekids. You can use them on here with the Sidekick cutting mattes. I also assume you can use the 2x6 dies with the mattes made for them. I have tried this and it does work. Also another trick to getting a good cut with these machines is to turn your dies cutting side face up. This makes for a great, inexpensive die cutter for those you won't need to do big die cuts

Cuttlebug Machine for Die-Cutting and Embossing with Bonus Tool Kit Review

When in July, Amazon offered this Cuttlebug machine with the bonus tool kit in the prettiest aqua colorway for .99, I was hooked! What a great value for the money and who doesn't want value these days.

The machine is well made and simple to use. While I don't like that the B plates get marked from the die-cutting, I can live with it. Replacement plates are available. The cuts from the dies are clean and precise. The embossing folders work like a charm and look fantastic with cardstock and even the metal from drink cans.

While I already had versions of all those tools, it's nice to have extras when the gang gathers for a crafting evening. If you don't have these tools already, you'll save a lot of money getting this deal. The paper cutter even comes with extra blades!! And why pay for a bone folder when this one is perfect!

Watching some videos on that ever popular tube place will show you some possibilities to use other brand dies and texture plates like Sizzix and Fiskars. Inking your embossing folder before passing it thru the machine is a quite stunning technique.

This is one low-tech craft gadget I am thoroughly enjoying. It's nice and light enough to take it outdoors and not worry about plugging it in. For the money, it can't be beat and I'd recommend to others without hesitation.
